The Moment of Realization

In a world full of hatred, selfishness, self-centric approaches had paved a way where we find ourselves so helpless that even having the best of the amenities we still lag to understand the pure gist of our best partner on this planet that is life. Our life has become full of anxieties, shame, jealousy, pain, grief, and much more. The question which demonstrates the real essence of our life miseries is that why we still miss the basic thing which is always desired in some less or more manner?

It could be monotonous for many to hear the same question of lagging but they could not find it possible to get rid of these common but needed questions. Lagging in terms of happiness and satisfaction even though we have acquired a lot of facilities/amenities for the rest of our lives and making extra efforts in maintaining the pace to get much more that we understand it’s necessary.

If we try to figure out why our life still revolves around the same question? How to get rid of these miseries of life which are so deep-rooted? It’s a wrong notion that we carry throughout our lives to acquire more and more materialistic and perishable things in our life to get happiness and satisfaction. The materialism approach can help bring facilitation but runs short in making our lives full of happiness and satisfaction.

The approach we usually follow is for physical and mental satisfaction but never ask that what for soul satisfaction? This way is always should be there unless we do so then only things will be seen and realized in a much broader sense which we are unable to see with the materialistic glasses. It is of no denying that we need to fulfil the basic requirements in life but somewhere it has also made us more obsessed in terms of materialism. Why are we so insane about running after these things which we know won’t last forever?

Because of this, a nuisance has been created in our lives where we have put so many things at the stake for eg: family, friends, relations, etc. The question arises ‘Is it that materialism so worthy that we put the above mentioned at the stake?’ Sometimes it’s quite difficult and beyond understanding why there is so much hue and cry for the acquisition of these perishable utilities. As already mentioned things are to be for use not for misuse. Things have to be considered based on their utilities not based on something which makes awful sense and beyond pragmatic understanding.

Many scholars and intellect have already unveiled the parody of this materialism. In their various observations, they have concluded that our whole life goes in vain as to run after these things without any sense, and at the end of the game, we realize that we are the biggest losers. The life which has been bestowed to learn various facets of life and also in nurturing those values which take us in the world of truth and likewise gives us the real charm of happiness and realize the pure fidelity in our lives.

One of the notions which can be entertained and practice is to ‘Participate’. This word could seem very common but we ignore it deliberately in our lives. It should not be of any confusion that the participation is for every single learning which makes our understanding robust that we could make wise decisions that always leads to satisfying our souls. There is no dearth of areas where we can participate not only to get satisfaction and happiness but can bring the same in another’s life.

For example:

In a population of more than seven billion people throughout the globe 10.7% of people are still malnourished. Have we gone so self-centric in our views that we can’t extend our participation in mitigating this curse on mankind?

An estimated 153 million children are orphans in the world. Can’t we see it?

According to a 2016 report, 102 million illiterate populations were between 15 and 24 years old in the world.

These above-mentioned examples are just a needle in the sand. There are so many problems in the world that are always either ignored or overlooked in some or another manner. It is never too late to realize that we have been either gone so engaged in our never-ending desires or we are in a rat race that is not going to reach the finish line at any moment. So we have to develop a sense of extending our participation in whatever way we can.

It has no harm to see beyond our never-ending desires which have made us so selfish that has made our vision blurred in seeing these much-needed matters which counts a lot which has always brought shame to mankind. Our small participation cannot cure the whole problem but can reduce it to the extent it could. It seems to be very meagre but has a very intense impact on our minds which not only brings a smile to many but gives us the realization of soul satisfaction.

These kinds of activities are terse but worthy enough that are quite pragmatic in bringing a high sense of satisfaction to our lives. Our participation in the eradication of these societies' nightmare not only brings soul satisfaction in us but will encourage our much-needed anticipation to extend our reach in the areas of learning and development.
