Valentine’s Day

Starting with a question could be quite astonishing but if asked which thing is in dearth as well as in abundance in this world. One of the best answers to this question can be ‘love’. Valentine week is going on and love is everywhere. Every second soul is trying to rejoice in the flavour of love in his/her manner. As per universal practice, this week start from the rose day(7 Feb) to Valentine’s Day (14 Feb). The week always tries to simplify the definition of love. Love is considered as the strength of bond among the relations as it keeps warmth and affection among people no matter to the demographic setup.

It is of great joy and celebration that still in the era of modern technology somewhere we are attached to the word ‘love’. It looks very simple but has the power to define one’s relations with his environment. Without love and affection life cannot be seen into a larger picture because every single soul is somewhere attached to another with a relationship of its kind. Today, although we usually try to find love everywhere yet becomes very difficult for us to find one. Why so? We have been so indulged in fulfilling our self-centred desires that we overlook the greatest feeling which works as a spur for mankind to remain contemporary and pave a way for healthy and wise living.

It is nice to reach our targets and meet out our desires but it shouldn’t be at the cost of ignoring love from our lives. In the current trend, love has been confined to this symbolic week of celebrating love. The mainstream thing has gone back and we see it has started deteriorating the framework of our relationships with others. The Valentine could be associated with couples but talking in a bigger context then why are we so reluctant in accepting that love has been left to back seat for most of us. It is of no harm to celebrating Valentine’s week or day but why to confine it to a day. So, why one of the greatest and needed feeling in the world has been made so terse?

In today’s scenario, sheer development is underway where the feeling of love is mostly misunderstood by either infatuation or attraction. In most cases, we made hasty judgments about a person that we are unable to realise the true facets of one’s characteristics. Out of the time impounded on a wrong person, we should spare some more time in acknowledging the basic of all that love is not a play but it carries a devotion towards your counterparts. These days we have been so obsessed to have superiority over others then even in relations we compete with others. Has it been in a positive sense then it would be accepted but here things go in a wrong way?

Usually, the tendencies of people have become so materialistic that we are unable to see things beyond our shortsightedness. Today, boyfriends/girlfriends culture is becoming so prominent that especially the young generation does not know the fact that relations are not for passing the time but are sacred in terms of love, affection, dedication, responsibility etc. This concept would be considered as old school mentality but somewhere, in the long run, things become so ugly that at times we are unable to recover by the repercussion of our hasty approaches.

There is no harm in celebrating these kinds of days and if some events bring us to smile then why not to celebrate but moreover we should also realize that our single mistake is going to cost us and our counterparts. Today, things are quite limited to physical intimacies rather than heartily affairs. If we love someone then why we behave so irrational and make us stuck in a lewd situation. There have been several types of research which conclude that most of us don’t understand what love is all about.

It is very sorry to say that at times these kinds of celebration end up in one night stands. Before knowing the realm of love how could we be so insensitive to understand the gist of love and sanctity? Every year around the globe, people celebrate this week from rose day followed by propose day, chocolate day, teddy day, promise day, hug day, kiss day and finally, on the last day it is Valentine’s day. The rational way suggests us that if we follow this chain then we come to know that the things have been so systematic in nature. Each day is dedicated to demonstrate a certain feeling which is felt and expressed. The systematic approach in life always paves a way for a healthy and happy relationship.

This week of celebrating love could be considered in practising the true form of love and dedication by making out our best possible efforts in realizing and understanding the best feeling present on earth. Valentine’s Day or week should be celebrated beyond the physical intimacies or one night stands but moreover should be in context to realize and celebrate the sacred way to togetherness and dedication. We should make every day like Valentine’s Day where we abide by our vows and promises for the rest of our lives because true gentlemen are men of their words.

FOLKS, WISH A VERY HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY
