Courage To Initiate

In simple words, most of us desire to become leaders of our fate. Around the corners, one of the prominent talks is about how to make people follow us. This desire is so prevalent that sometimes we are ready to go out of the box. To become a leader is always a subject of pride and esteem which is understood in the context of superiority to others. As we are so obsessed with the word (superiority) that to achieve it, we try to turn every stone.

It is always wise to go better by the time but deeds have to in the direction as it has to be. Every soul has resided this notion in his mind to achieve a niche for himself but lacks in some requisite amount of courage to Initiate.  This word has no doubt carrying an intense impact on our behaviours because the ability to initiate is not a cup of tea to everyone. It is a very distinct feature of a personality where a person dare to take every single initiation that no doubted bring robust to his notion

Every era has seen such great personalities all around the corners who are considered ideals in numerous sense. They are also considered leaders who are always followed by many and will be followed forever. Why so? Because these personalities have carried the courage and ability to take initiative not for them but the masses. The power to initiate is always considered foremost because of how a notion paves the path to success unless someone takes initiative to start on it.

One of the common habits we usually practice is to dream a lot about “One Day”. This one day has always hurdle us to show the courage in taking initiative. This habit is not a thing of one day or two days but since childhood, most of us have always found to follow others rather than to be followed. This tendency has made us fall apart from considering the best approach of taking initiatives for lifetime nostalgia because every deed is done today lays the foundation of tomorrow’s healthy moments of our life.

It is always taught and expected to imbibe the notion to ‘dream big’. No doubt it is quite necessary because unless we dream then only we could understand for what we have to proceed? But many of our dreams are never destined to their destinations because our whole efforts fell short in taking much-needed initiatives and anticipation.

This word ‘initiate’ could seem to be not having intense need but practically has got a lot of things beyond our thinking and understanding.

This notion of taking initiation can be understood through various examples which left a great impact on the societies around the globe.

Examples:

·     Ratan Tata (Industrialist&Philanthropist) displayed the power of taking initiative by building a car for only 1 lakh Indian rupees which were initially mocked and were considered impossible along with other initiatives to make Tata Group a globally recognized Indian Multinational Company.

·   Elon Musk CEO- SpaceX shows the courage to initiate to build a very successful electric car by investing his fortune in a very risky project and readies him for the next level project to get humans to reach Mars(Planet).

·    Warren Buffet CEO - Berkshire Hathaway needs no introduction. He is one of the most successful investors of all times who owns stakes in companies like  Apple, Bank of America, American Express, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Coca Cola, Visa, MasterCard, and Kraft Heinz.

· Mahatma Gandhi is one of few personalities who is admired and adored for his initiatives to raise himself against the British rule and act as a prominent leader to take people with his will initiate not pre-independence but also post-independence of India.

·  Swami Vivekananda, an Indian monk who is considered one of the initiators who confirms the establishment of India as a country of rich culture, knowledge, diversity etc. through his sermons. He came up as a successful personality in disillusioning the world that has always considered India, land of monks and snake charmers. His speech delivered in Chicago,1893 showcased Indian supremacy in delivering knowledge from religion, culture, education, brotherhood, humanity too much more which was not even thought of from a country like India.

·      Raja Ram Mohan Roy was one of the founders of the Brahmo Sabha, the precursor of the Brahmo Samaj, a social-religious reform movement in the Indian subcontinent. He is the man behind to raise his voice against an evil practice in Indian society of practising Sati Pratha which resulted in its abolishment.

These above examples are the few ones to make us understand the basic thing that unless we initiate then only we would be able to bring a rational change to our lives and also become participants in the development of our societies irrespective of demographics. It is now on us how we would be known to generations to come, an initiator or a person who was so foolish to understand the difference between ‘Day One and One Day’.
